Rotom Magoggo Village School
Summary:
The project involved the installation of a 7,000 litre/day deep borehole and a water purification system with solar pumps, PVC piping from the tanks into the school and installation of H2O 4 ALL disinfection system. The project will provide clean water for drinking, washing, latrines and all needs of the school.
Impact:
Since 2016, the school's water system has provided more than 11,500,000 litres to the residents of Magoggo Village and the surrounding communities. More than 700 people at Magoggo Village have benefited from the project, along with several thousand people in the neighboring communities of Lusanga, Nkulagirire, Kabawala and Nabalanga. Members of these communities who used to rely on unsafe water for drinking, cooking and cleaning can now keep themselves and their families safe from waterborne diseases.
