Loma Community Centre
Summary:
H2O4ALL has partnered with Servant’s Heart to provide a consistent clean water supply to the Loma community centre. The project involved the installation of a 5,000 litre safe water system with solar pumps, PVC piping from the tanks into the Centre and installation of H2O4ALL disinfection system.
Impact:
The project has provided clean water for drinking, washing, latrines, and all needs of the Centre, as well as safe water access for many community members. The water source from the town of Sosua transfers immediately into collection storage tanks, where it is then stored and treated for use. Equipped with reliable safe water access, the Centre brings education and medical care to the impoverished community and touches the lives of hundreds of Dominican and Haitian people, resulting in a stronger, healthier community.
