Kawolo Hospital Phase II
Summary:
In 2014, H2O 4 ALL returned to Kawolo Hospital to conduct phase ll of a safe water system by constructing a water borehole supply system that delivers 10,000 litres of water/day to the major hospital wards.
Impact:
The safe water source at Kawolo Hospital has dramatically improved the safety of staff and patients alike. Hospital workers have water to maintain appropriate hygiene, reducing the risk of nosocomial infections among patients. In addition, patients no longer need to pay for water or bring their own. As a result, the overall health of the Lugazi community has improved.
