PAOS is a society in high school that has sent teams out into North, South and Central America, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and Europe to deliver the Good News. They’ve built classrooms, clinics, churches and houses. They’ve dug wells, immunized children, delivered emergency food and much more. Over the years, more than 1,000 Pacific Academy students have been part of these teams and nearly all of them have said their lives have been impacted and changed by the experience.
Since 1993, PAOS has operated the Kibaale Community Centre which has been transforming lives in the Rakai District of Uganda by providing healthcare, development resources and a quality Christian education to the neediest of the needy. Each of the 1500 nursery, primary, secondary and vocational students are chosen from the most disadvantaged homes in a region that has been devastated by AIDS and extreme poverty. The care each of these children receives from dedicated staff members allows them to overcome their challenging circumstances and improve their lives and the lives of their families.
