The Assemblies of God was founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with 300 people at the founding convention. Today there are nearly 13,000 churches in the U.S. with over 3 million members and adherents. There are more than 69 million Assemblies of God members worldwide, making the Assemblies of God the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination.
Shelter Them was started by Jules Higiro, a past soldier who helped end the genocide of Tutsis in 1994. After seeing the aftermath, Jules made it his mission to help the abandoned children who were trying to survive the streets of Kigali. What is special about Shelter Them is that they are not only focused on aid but also empowering children with tools needed to design their own future. They integrate the orphans into families and provide health care and a safe environment where they may grow healthy and thrive.
COGHOC exists to ensure effective delivery of quality services and to contribute to a health society by providing healthy care services. Education life skills that develop human resources improve productivity and raise the standards of living of the disadvantaged orphans, families affected by HIV/AIDs, vulnerable and children with disabilities, PLWHAS in order to attain sustainable social and economic development.
Reach One Touch One Ministries (ROTOM) is a non-denominational Christian organization reaching out to older persons and children in their care. It was started in Uganda in 2003 and has grown to become one of the most effective mission organizations supporting older persons in Uganda and Ethiopia.
Servant’s Heart Ministries facilitates the sustainable advancement of individuals and communities of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. They do this through education and development programs while responding to the primary needs of these people.
The association was formed in 2001 to solicit funds for their members basic survival, but over time, the association has metamorphosed into an income generating, skills training institution, which envelope both abled, disabled persons and vulnerable street girls.
Wellington Square believes that a friendship with the God seen in Jesus can make a positive difference by giving our lives direction, meaning, and joy for living. Wellington Square offers a great place to investigate what it might mean to be a Christ-follower as well as a place to dive in, make friends, and join with others to have a positive impact on our own hearts, our community and our world.
Save the Mothers is an international organization that equips professionals (from a wide array of disciplines) in developing countries to improve the health of mothers and babies. Through their specific vocations, graduates of our Master in Public Health Leadership program become influencers for positive societal change, working to overcome preventable maternal death.
International Needs has been working to free children, families and communities from the cruelty of poverty and injustice. As a Christian development organization, they want to help the weakest among us reach his or her full potential. They build relationships with local leaders and work with them to improve the quality of life in their community.
Their main focus is sustainability. Their programs and initiatives must fit naturally with the communities we serve and have a positive long-term impact on the health and well-being of the community.
International Needs is now involved in over 30 countries on six continents.
